My name is Amaury, I’m 27 years old, I’m French from Bordeaux, a single father and I love it! Also I have a weird passion for “Pre-War” Historic Vehicles. Besides modelling I’m beginning to make short films and advertising for a few clients and magazines but I’m dreaming of making films and documentaries one day.
How long have you been modelling for and what inspired you to become a model?
Something like 7 years…. The opportunity to travel and work with creative people and to be a part of bringing their creative vision to life.
Favorite city or place in the world and why?
Maybe my father’s house in Provence, it’s a very old house that has been in my family since Napoleonic times, it’s very beautiful and peaceful
The most important thing to you that you can’t live without?
My daughter!
Most treasured possession?
My Dresch motorcycle, it’s a 1932 French motorcycle, bicylinder 500cc, very rare, that took me 7 years to restore in the rules of art.

So far in your career as a model, what has been your favourite modelling job and why?
That’s a difficult question… I did one amazing job in the desert of Morocco for the tennis competition “Rolland Garros”. Or maybe my first show in Paris, I opened the Givenchy show and it was intense!
Your greatest fear?
A motorcycle accident I had on a powerful bike…. Actually not the accident itself but the aftermath; the 14 days in an hospital bed and 2 months in a wheelchair…. Losing my autonomy was the worsst experience of my life.

Belstaff – for the quality

To be biodegradable and manufactured in a way that respects the earth and humankind
What characteristics do you value most in people?
Viability, people who are true to their word, that keep a promise. And those with a smile.
Do you think that humans as a species have got better through the generations or worse? Why?
Well… do you really want to talk about politics? When you know 1% of the richest people on the planet have more than the poorest 50%, I’m not sure humanity is getting better

Which animal is your spirit animal?
Doberman… :P
All-time favourite TV show or movie?
Tarantino’s “Inglorious Bastards” because it’s a synthesis of Sergio Leone’s movie (but Leone is my favourite director). Currently I’m enjoying documentaries about society and the world. I’m amazed by the director’s ability to make you to see something that changes your vision of your own consumption and actions in this life!
Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
That depends. I’m not good as a leader. I know I have qualities, however I prefer to put them at the service of a common goal!
How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
That depends, but I really I like spend it with my friends in a garage with antique motorcycles and beers.
What really makes you laugh?
Jokes about the French…
Three words would others probably use to describe you?
Passionate, impulsive and French

Blazer — Scotch&Soda

What is your favourite band or songwriter & style of music? – Do you have a playlist you listen to and would like to share?
Wow! I’m a rock person! Gary Numan, L’impératrice, Wolfmother, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club
or more indie-rock like Tame Impala, Alt-j etc.
Favourite comfort food?
I love fruit! When I’m working on my computer I’m eating fruit, that gives me a lot of energy.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done?
When I was a teenager in Bordeaux, I would go with out at night with a friend to find garages and “borrow” collector cars for a little joyride. We always put them back how we found them (to do it again) … We just really wanted to try them out but also didn’t realise the risk we took back then. It was just funny to drive a Jaguar e-type, Porsche and Mercedes Pagode. No owners ever knew their car had been borrowed (or at least we think)
If you had to teach a subject, what would it be?
Videography and film making
What do you believe makes a successful life?
I think we are social animals, if you are appreciated and you try to make the best of your situation within your community in the respect of your value you will access a kind of happiness, which in my eyes is success. The opposite is true too
Who is the most important person or influencer in your life, and why?
My mom, because she’s a paediatrician. She works day and night and never complains, everyone likes her in the district because she looks after all the children.
She also has a little house where she tries to help people who are in difficult situations and offers them a place to stay for a couple of days and months
She is very discreet …and because she is my mom!
Thank you for the talk Amaury!
